Heritage decoration painter are contributors specialized in heritage building.

They are trained by l'Ecole d'Avignon to intervene in the heritage area, no matter the nature : listed, inscribed or not, religious or secular, urban, rural or industrial...

Relying on preliminary historical, stylistic and technical studies of the place, the heritage decoration painter commit to :

- fight for the heritage preservation,
- offer a durable work through the choice of techniques in order to respect the nature of the building and avoid the use of modern techniques, not adapted to the conservation of heritage building,
- the Heritage Decoration Painter is able to make his own preparation in the traditionnal way in order to guarantee the durability of his intervention,
- respect the rules of architectural composition of the place, whatever the artistic choice,
- respect and act for the conservation of heritage decor,
- direct his clients toward the best decorative solution for the place, its destination, its nature by the composition, the chromatic, the quality of the work and the offered artistic choice,
- transmit and share a knowledge, a culture of the heritage.

 

The heritage decoration painter training course offers to an initiated audience a specialization in the heritage sector who integrates theoretical, cultural, historical knowledge of building, evolution of decor and style and the practice of traditionnal techniques.

 

The Heritage Decoration Painter title is approved by the state as a level III. The program, stemming from a training referential directed with the Direction of the Craft Industry, the profession and the SEMA, is based on the need of specialists and the growing demands of professionnals contributors on the heritage market.

 

This training, leading to a qualification, is aiming the build a cultural and technical knowledge for the painter who is going to intervene in the heritage sector. The three axes of the training are :
- the practice of decor,
- the use of traditionnals materials and technics,
- the evolutional history of decor and styles.
