For about 15 years, l'Ecole d'Avignon developed a consultation reference toward territorials collectivities. First in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region, where it has been asked to put its knowledge in use toward the urban and village structure of the territory. Project help on the paper, and armed wing on the field. Able to perform a strategical reflexion and an accompaniment in the accomplishment.

Then l'Ecole d'Avignon, through bilateral cooperation between mediterranean region, worked to adapt this model to Morocco and Lebanon. It is the idea that a "rehabilitation ressource cell" can only be a transversal structure able to inject more competency for the different actors ; given with articulations in in the key sectors (state service, territorials collectivities, architects, the world of firm and profession), l'Ecole d'Avignon would be able to act on the order, the project, the training and the qualification. Its made up based on this analysis :

From the monument to the ancient build space, there is now a continuous line of thought and action between the preservation and urban rehabilitation approachs. The actual durable development concept is a link between exceptionnal edifice and ordinary ancient building.

The cultural interest for the Mosque, the Madrasah, the palace... is the same as for the souk, the turkish bath, the Caravanserai, the current home... Even these objects or whole don't have the same status, they have the same global sense : they are the constitutives organs of the city, its history, seniority and usage. The dimensions of time, value, economical functionnement are linked, like the urban substance and the image of the city. Therefore, the future of all the heritage stock has to be insured through a project, a whole that take into account all the professionnals who are going to work on the field.
