Preservation measures are essentials for the saving and modernization of traditional architectures and historical méditerranean house, that are contributing to the charm of town center, and inhabitants social activities.

The thematical workshop that took place in Ghardaia from the last 23 to 25 november, was focused on mehtods and preservation practice actually used in the EU and in the partners mediterranean country, by taking into consideration the regular maintenance aspects, and the more important work, aimed to adapt the ancient house to modern standards.
The main goal of the workshop is to formulate recommandations for the authorities in charge of the heritage, and the local population, in order to set up more efficient measure of conservation and maintenance in their countries.

Patrice Morot-sir and Jean-Jacques Algros took part in this workshop, and presented the guide book : "Outils opérationnels pour diverses échelles de territoires" and the practice in the matter of facing treatment : "Enduits, réparation, traitements, principes".
