Courses in Conservation Techniques |
With an average of fifty courses every year, the Ecole
d'Avignon organises proficiency training courses for workers (short-term
training courses of 3 to 5 days duration), available throughout
France and Europe. These courses aim to allow professionals to
adapt themselves to the needs of the market for rehabilitation,
(materials, techniques, maintenance/ reparation), and to modify
their reactions developed as a result of working on new buildings.
They are generally put together following a request from professional
bodies, or other operators, following the current of public funded
restoration programmes.
Several
hundred courses have been organised for different target groups:
- Professionals, tradesmen and businesses
- Architects, CAUE (advisory boards for architecture, urban
development and the environment), SDAP (local authority services
for architecture and heritage) and four courses per year for
the CRMH (regional organisations for the conservation of historic
buildings) under a contract with the DAPA (the Directorate for
Architecture and Heritage)
- Urban developers
- Local authorities' technical services
- Delegates of the ANAH (National Agency for Housing Improvement)
- Trainers
- Overseas professionals
