Training Design and Planning

New markets require new skills and new qualifications.

In order to define these needs more accurately and work more closely with specialists from the different trades, the Ecole d'Avignon, has used a system of professional guidelines.

It is a method which is based on the analysis of three things:

• the tasks which are required of an employee by an employer, i.e. a description of the professional requirements,
• a description of the skills required - trade knowledge and associated skills,
• the training content, method and means of acquiring these skills.

 
These guidelines have been drawn up in collaboration with professional bodies, national heritage authorities, and representatives of professional training funding bodies. As a result, some of them have become officially recognized professional qualifications, such as that of "Heritage Painting and Decoration". All of these guidelines have been adopted by professionals.
