Heritage doors and window frames:
consolidation of woods
The goal of this course, designed especially for craftsmen, is to inventory the knowledge and methods necessary to preserve and restore wooden pieces, techniques that can be set apart from simple upkeep or repair.
During this course, participants will learn and put into practice consolidation techniques involving injection of resins, so as to minimize replacements necessary during the restoration of exterior doors:
- review of techniques,
- wood pathologies,
- damage necessitating consolidation,
- methods of use of resins.
Practical exercises:
- diagnostic of necessary work,
- completion of restoration.
