From limewashing to patina, from simple flat colors to architectural decor, beyond its function of protecting a facade (stone, plaster), the limewashes produce well-designed facades whose image is based on architectural concepts.
This course will give you the opportunity, after covering the theory of materials and proportions, to put to use decors that are composed of images of cornerstones, lower wall bases, artificial stone and friezes. |
Program
First, the theoretical knowledge of materials makes it possible to know and to produce whitewashes suitable for outside use: coloring of façades, disinfectant limewashing, etchings, trompe l'oeil, patinas. while alternating modern techniques and traditional materials on plastered surface or stone facing.
Creation of individual samples (line drawing, painted moldings, friezes, faceted panels, blind windows, etc.) and collective creation of composition (sundials, decor).
